In short. Mnésie is a study app that is free during its beta. Your lectures stay yours. The AI can make mistakes: always check the source. Recording a teacher requires their consent, and what you record is for your own study, not for sharing.

1. Who provides Mnésie

Mnésie (the app, its browser version app.mnesie.app and the website mnesie.app) is published on a non-professional basis by Johanna Grace Fokui Noubi, a private individual. Contact: fokuijohanna@gmail.com. The legal notice gives the details.

2. What Mnésie does

Mnésie helps you study your lectures: import your slides, annotate them, record a lecture, and get its transcript, a written course and answers to your questions, each one linked to its source (the slide or the minute of the recording).

Mnésie is in beta: it keeps evolving, some features may change, stop or disappear, and it may contain errors. It is free during the beta. If a paid plan arrives, you will be told beforehand, and you will never be charged without your consent.

3. Who can use it

You must be at least 16 years old. You create an account from the app or on app.mnesie.app, with a valid email address or with Apple, and you keep your access to yourself.

4. Your content stays yours

Your slides, notes, annotations, recordings and corrections belong to you, or to their authors (your teachers for their lectures). You only allow Mnésie to store them, sync them between your devices and process them to provide the service you ask for. Mnésie never publishes them and never uses them to train an AI. You can export or delete everything from the app.

5. The AI can make mistakes

Transcripts, written courses, explanations and answers are produced by artificial intelligence tools. They may contain errors or omissions. Each piece of content points to its source so you can check it: always check before relying on it.

Mnésie is a study tool. It does not replace your lecture, your teacher or medical advice, and must never be used to make a decision about a patient.

6. Recording a lecture

Recording a teacher is your responsibility: ask for their consent and follow your school's rules. Lectures and slides are protected by copyright: what you record and import is for your personal study and must not be shared.

Do not import or record any data that could identify a patient.

7. Sharing a lecture

When you share a lecture with a classmate, you only share what you have the right to share, with people from your course. You choose what goes (slides, annotations, audio) and you can remove a link at any time. Shared content that raises a problem can be reported to fokuijohanna@gmail.com. It is then reviewed and removed if it is unlawful.

8. What is not allowed

  • Sharing lectures, recordings or content you do not have the right to share.
  • Importing patient data, unlawful content or content that infringes the rights of others.
  • Trying to get around Mnésie's security, to access other accounts' data or to overload the service.

If these rules are broken, access may be suspended, after you have been notified, except in an emergency.

9. Liability

Mnésie is provided free of charge, in beta, as it is. The publisher does her best to keep it working and to protect your data, but cannot guarantee it will be free of errors or interruptions. Keep a copy of what matters to you: export is in the app. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

10. Your data

How your data is processed is described in the privacy policy and summarised in your data in short.

11. Ending and changes

You can stop at any time by deleting your account from the app. If these terms change in a significant way, you will be told in the app before the change applies.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the protections of the country where you live. If you disagree with something, write first to fokuijohanna@gmail.com: we will look for a solution together.
